Consortium Professional Recruitment is pleased to partner with a forward-thinking engineering business in their search for a CAD Technician. This full-time role offers a chance to work on diverse projects, providing high-quality design and detailing services.
  
As a CAD Technician, you will play a critical role in producing accurate and detailed models, drawings, and documentation for fabrication and erection. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with project stakeholders, conduct site visits, and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering projects.
  
This position is perfect for a candidate with strong experience in AutoCAD, looking to apply their expertise within a dynamic and supportive team.
  
Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage detailed 3D models and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Work from engineering specifications, designs, and project briefs.
  • Generate accurate fabrication and erection documentation, including material lists and other deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Conduct occasional site visits and surveys to support project needs.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant CAD software.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles and structural design.
  • Competent in MS Office and other standard IT tools.
  • Experience working from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment.

Salary
  • £35,000 to £37,000 per annum
