Working predominantly within the engineering department, the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, updating, and improving product designs. You will work closely with various departments and have the opportunity to engage in exciting R&D projects while ensuring that production processes run efficiently. This role would suit an individual with strong 2D and 3D design skills and experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment.

Design Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
- Creating detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing assembly drawings.
- Producing accurate Bills of Materials based on job specifications.
- Ensuring designs meet standard formats and regulatory requirements.
- Liaising with internal departments to ensure smooth communication and efficient processes.
- Amending and updating designs based on continuous improvements and customer feedback.
- Supporting the production of sales drawings and involvement in R&D projects.
- Collaborating with production teams to oversee the manufacturing process.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD.
- Good engineering knowledge, particularly in sheet metal materials and their properties.
- Experience in Design for Manufacture (DFM) and working in a Lean Manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively as part of a team.
- Engineering qualifications (preferably mechanical) and 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum.
