Outsourced Manufacturing Operations Manager
Location: Hull
Our client is seeking a Outsourced Manufacturing Operations Manager to join a dynamic and innovative department within this global leader in their field.
Within the role of Outsourced Manufacturing Operations Manager you will play a crucial part in managing and optimising the performance of a portfolio of outsourced manufacturing partners tasked with providing finished product against framework agreements.
Maintaining the highest standards of quality and reliability within your portfolio of partners contribution to the overall supply chain, you, will be responsible for collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain & drive operational efficiency, enhance visibility and meet output volumes.
To be successful as Outsourced Manufacturing Operations Manager You will have a strong appreciation of how to manage contract manufacturing specifically finished goods, as well as the ability to interrogate performance and recommend corrective steps both internally for business continuity where needed as well as supporting the external partners where necessary.

Key Responsibilities of the Outsourced Manufacturing Operations Manager:
- Outsourced Manufacturing Oversight:
- Manage and build strong relationships with outsourced manufacturing partners.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of third-party manufacturers to ensure adherence to quality standards, timelines, and cost targets.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of outsourced manufacturing processes.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and track operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyse data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Supply Chain Management:
- Develop and implement effective supply chain strategies to streamline operations and minimise costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of raw materials.
- Implement inventory management best practices to optimise stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
- Quality Control:
- Establish and maintain quality standards for finished goods.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Implement and monitor quality improvement initiatives.
- Team Leadership:
- Provide effective leadership and direction, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and development plans
The Ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
- Proven experience in outsourced supply chains with experience of outsourced finished goods manufacturing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.
