The Role:
The successful UK Transport Planner will be responsible for:
- Processing customer orders and maintaining consistent, timely communication with customers.
- Coordinating closely with suppliers to arrange the necessary transportation for order execution.
- Ensuring efficient turnaround of tanks to optimise their utilisation.
- Monitoring and planning UK tank driver schedules to maximise earnings potential.
- Upholding service levels to meet customer expectations.
- Managing equipment usage in alignment with specific customer, product, and operational needs.
- Facilitating smooth onboarding and integration of new business.
- Managing the recharge of any additional costs.
- Coordinating tank cleaning, repairs, and maintenance services.
- Prior experience in tank planning is highly desirable.
- A background in customer-facing roles.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in data entry, documentation, and record-keeping.
- Clear, effective communication skills, both written and verbal, for collaborating with team members, drivers, and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving abilities to identify issues, recommend solutions, and make informed decisions under pressure.
- Ability to seamlessly shift between customer service and operational responsibilities.
