Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities
- Assist in creating and developing mechanical designs using SolidWorks.
- Produce detailed drawings and technical documentation for fabrication and manufacturing.
- Convert 3D models into production-ready drawings and bills of materials.
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs meet manufacturing requirements.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and support the wider team on design initiatives.
- Liaise with colleagues to gather design requirements and provide input on technical solutions.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- Understanding of SolidWorks, with demonstrable experience in draughting and mechanical design.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, including fabrication and assembly.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with mechanical design principles.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- £30,000 to £35,000 per annum.
