What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Production & Supply Chain Planner, your role will involve a range of key responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of production schedules. Your daily tasks will include:
  • Creating and managing production schedules: You’ll be responsible for developing detailed, accurate production plans based on forecasted demand, working closely with the production team to ensure timely execution.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders: Communicating effectively with departments such as production, procurement, and sales to gather relevant information and update schedules as needed.
  • Monitoring inventory levels: You will track raw materials and finished goods inventories, ensuring that the supply chain is in balance to meet production requirements and avoid delays.
  • Managing production risks and identifying issues: Proactively identifying potential disruptions in production timelines, including supply chain delays, staffing issues, or machinery downtime, and taking steps to mitigate these risks.
  • Ensuring adherence to quality standards: Collaborating with the quality control team to ensure that production schedules align with the company’s strict quality standards.
  • Reporting and documentation: Maintaining accurate records of production plans, stock levels, and any changes to the schedules, as well as providing regular updates to management.
 What You’ll Need to Succeed:
  • Proven experience in production and supply chain planning: You’ll need to have worked in a manufacturing environment, where you have developed the skills to manage production schedules and coordinate with various departments.
  • Strong communication skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for liaising with stakeholders across different teams to keep everyone aligned.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office: A good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is key for managing schedules, inventories, and reporting. Experience with other Office tools like Word and PowerPoint is also beneficial.
  • ERP system experience: Previous experience working with ERP systems will be essential in managing production data and inventory systems effectively.
  • Strong organisational skills: You will be juggling multiple tasks at once, so the ability to prioritize and stay organized under pressure is critical.
  • Attention to detail: Your role will require you to ensure that all plans are accurate and timelines are met without fail, so a keen eye for detail is vital.
